E-commerce related services accounted for close to three fifths of PostNL’s revenue in 2020, driven by an almost 20% increase in parcel volumes and growing logistics demand.

Revenue for the post’s parcels division grew 23% year on year, with rate increases and a positive price/mix effect driving faster growth than that seen for volumes. Increased consumer mail demand amid the COVID-19 pandemic helped slow mail volume decline, although lower demand for admail services drove a 9.6% volume drop. Network efficiencies resulting from the integration of Sandd’s mail network supported an improved EBIT margin. The post aims to achieve further efficiency and profitability growth through service digitalisation from 2021. For more details download the latest IPC Carrier Intelligence Report for PostNL.
