To honor the global initiative of education for nonviolence, which takes place in schools around the world, on January 30, 2026, on the occasion of the International Day for School Nonviolence, in the Aula Magna hall, within the Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University in Bucharest, the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, through the School Safety Directorate, organized the event "Together we take school violence out of anonymity!".

The event is part of the project "Bring school violence out of anonymity!", carried out by the School Safety Directorate in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, with the support of the Romanian National Post Company and the National Police Corps, and represents an initiative aimed at increasing the level of safety in pre-university education units at the national level.

In this context, the official launch of a video clip took place, made within the project with the support of the Mercury360 Communications SRL agency, video material that captures aspects that reflect the risk behaviors and vulnerable situations to which students may be exposed through the lens of school violence, as well as the importance of reporting/notifying antisocial acts committed in educational units and which will represent a benchmark for informing the population, both through a public interest message and through advertising spots.

Also during the event, the national creative contest "The Hero in the Classroom" was launched, which aims to encourage creativity and originality, improve collaboration skills, as well as develop the spirit of competition and fair play, challenging students to work together to create an informative leaflet on the prevention and effective management of bullying in the school where they study.

In carrying out this endeavor, the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police enjoyed the support and involvement of the president of the Happy Minds Association, who presented the free psychological support phone line made available to students, of the representative of the ProLegis association, who launched a collection of books promoting anti-bullying messages, as well as the support of the president of the Neuroatipic Foundation in promoting anti-bullying guides, which deal with forms of school violence, during the event.

Also, the president of the Dinamo Bucharest Sports Club, together with high-performance athletes, such as Mihaela Cambei and other athletes from the club, were present to promote the values of sport, namely discipline and team spirit, as well as to raise students' awareness of the importance and benefits of sport on physical and mental health.

The activities were held in the presence of approximately 450 students from pre-university education units in Bucharest, and among the guests present at the event were representatives of the Ministry of Education, the National Company Romanian Post, the National Federation of Parents and the National Council of Students, as well as other institutional partners involved in activities to increase school safety.
