The numbers of the Poste airline, renewed with the arrival of new Boeing 737 800 BCF aircraft, and the words of CEO Scarfiglieri to the Poste TG

Greater efficiency, greater load capacity, and a longer flight range, with lower fuel consumption and noise: this is the new look of the Poste Air Cargo fleet, the airline of Poste Italiane, which recently underwent a major upgrade with the addition of new Boeing 737-800 BCF aircraft. This represents a significant strategic investment in the Group's logistics, which, thanks to Poste Air Cargo, connects all areas of the country every day for the delivery of packages to Italian homes.

Numbers of excellence
The numbers also seem to confirm the excellence of this service: as reported by TG Poste, in 2024, approximately 4,700 routes were operated, for over 7,000 flight hours, transporting more than 16,000 tons of goods, including 3,200 tons of mail, 8,700 tons of parcels, and 4,300 tons of other types of goods. Total revenues in the last year monitored (2024) grew 11.2% compared to 2023, with revenues from market activities soaring by a staggering 74%. Poste Air Cargo also supports exports, local industries, and businesses through specific international connections. Thanks to a specially designed fleet, Poste Air Cargo aircraft can also accommodate very special "passengers," such as thoroughbred horses, bound for England or Ireland to participate in horse races.

The words of CEO Scarfiglieri
Poste Air Cargo's environmental commitment is demonstrated by its use of sustainable fuels, ensuring increasingly green logistics even in flight: "The e-commerce experience," Gennaro Scarfiglieri, CEO of Poste Air Cargo, told TG Poste, "drives the need for increasingly rapid deliveries, often even in a single day. This, therefore, is the task that Poste Air Cargo undertakes daily, with the support of our air fleet, which gives Poste Italiane a clear competitive advantage over other express courier companies. This allows us to maintain absolute leadership in this unique transportation segment."

Investments and ongoing projects
"We recently upgraded our fleet," Scarfiglieri confirmed, "with a $70 million investment, which allows us to diversify the products we transport, which, according to an estimate for the first half of 2025, will account for 53% of our total." Among the various initiatives implemented by Poste Air Cargo, as part of a genuine diversification project, is one related to a concert held on September 17 in Malta: "For this musical event on the island," the CEO of Poste Air Cargo told TG Poste, "one of our aircraft flew to Vienna to load all the musical instruments and transport them to Malta, in time for the important event. And the same will happen for the next stop, in Helsinki, of this eagerly awaited musical tour."

The Poste Air Cargo Flight School
Finally, CEO Scarfiglieri outlined the features of the Flight School operated by Poste Air Cargo: "We develop the pilots of the future," the CEO explained, "by organizing courses where candidates receive training from our pilots, leading them to obtain a special flight license, required for the profession. Perhaps, as has already happened, this could also be done within our company."
