Guangdong iBosst has launched a project to build what it describes as an Intelligent Logistics Express cable rail system covering urban and rural areas of China which offers flexibility, punctuality, fast speed and low cost. The aim is to offer same-day delivery of goods nationwide and one-hour delivery city-wide at half the cost of traditional transport modes, the Chinese firm said in a statement. The first 15 km-long Intelligent Logistics Express was completed in the Guangdong Province In May this year. The technology focuses on low-altitude static cable rails, which provide the framework for an "expressway” to run along soft wirerope tracks carrying small robot containers with a capacity of up to 100 kg.
