The Russian e-commerce market is expected to grow over 20% to reach RUB 1,150 billion (€16.04 billion) this year after growing by 14% to RUB 240 billion (€3.35 billion) in the first quarter of 2017, according to the Russian e-commerce association AKIT. The market growth pace slightly decreased in the first quarter of 2017. “But this is largely due to the fact that the first quarter is generally not the most active period with regard to shoppers, and to the successful first quarter of 2016,” AKIT explained.
