Hermes Europe has unveiled top management changes with Carole Walker taking over from Donald Pilz as CEO and Martijn de Lange replacing her as head of the UK business. Hamburg-based Hermes Europe GmbH is the holding company for all European logistics activities of the Otto Group, including the businesses in Germany, the UK, France, Austria, Italy and Russia. Pilz decided to resign as CEO of the Management Board of Hermes Europe GmbH due to differing views on the strategic direction of the Hermes Group, parent company Otto Group explained in a statement. The group “sincerely regrets that Donald Pilz decided to leave the company, thanks him very much for his achievements and wishes him every success in his continuing career and all the best for his personal future”.
