International Post Corporation (IPC) welcomes Liam O’Sullivan and Dirk Gloeckner who started respectively as IPC Director, Operations and IPC Director, Technology on 13 November.

Brussels, 16 November 2017 – International Post Corporation (IPC) welcomes Liam O’Sullivan and Dirk Gloeckner who started respectively as IPC Director, Operations and IPC Director, Technology on 13 November.

IPC CEO Holger Winklbauer said: “Liam and Dirk are joining IPC at a key moment as our members are looking for cutting-edge solutions enabling us to take the lead in the e-commerce markets. I am looking forward to working closely with them and the new management team to enhance our portfolio of services, in line with our IPC 2025 strategy.”

Liam O'SullivanAs Director, Operations, Liam O’Sullivan will be supervising IPC operational solutions and services, aimed at enhancing cross-border mail and parcel services.

Prior to joining IPC, Liam has held several senior managerial and project management functions at the Irish postal operator, An Post. He was a member of the Executive board of An Post from 2004 serving in several Director level positions. Since 2009, Liam worked as the Director of Mails Operations, and was in charge of the overall direction and management of all mails, parcels and freight operations, both nationally and internationally.

Liam is taking over from David Spottiswood who has been Interim Director Operations since June 2017. “With his expertise from the commercial side, David has been particularly helpful to drive changes and increase usage of IPC solutions,” added Holger Winklbauer.

As Director Technology, Dirk Gloeckner will be implementing the IPC IT strategy and providing systems support and development, which is vital for day-to-day operations of IPC solutions and services.

Dirk began his career in a finance role with UPS. He has then taken up a series of more senior roles within Deutsche Post DHL in Europe and America, in which he combined the strategy development and implementation of IT systems with financial control. Over the past three years, he has been running his own e-commerce company in the USA.

Dirk is taking over from Dr Carolyn Brown. “During the time that she has been with us, Carolyn has launched our new members’ IT Council and identified a number of measures that will make our IT activities more effective and efficient,” concluded the IPC CEO.
