“The arrangement guarantees that the total remuneration of parcel sorting personnel will not be impacted until January 31, 2022. The objective of the change in the collective agreement of parcel sorting personnel is to increase flexibility. It allows us to offer more flexible services to our customers and will help us keep jobs and also create new jobs in the future,” says Turkka Kuusisto, Senior Vice President of Posti’s Parcel and eCommerce business group.
Following the announcement by Posti on August 29, 2019, the sorting personnel in Posti’s Parcel and eCommerce business group, approximately 700 persons, transferred to Posti Palvelut Oy as old employees on September 1, 2019. The recipient company complies with the Industrial Union’s Distribution collective agreement, and the transferred personnel will adopt the new collective agreement on November 1, 2019. The objective of this change is to increase flexibility and allow the sorting operations to better respond to the rapid changes in business environment and customer needs.
