On 25 May, Lauri Läheb will start working as Omniva’s Chief Technology Officer and management member.

Läheb has led international technology and product development in different companies, including Tallink and Telia Eesti and has experience in start-up and public–private sector digitation collaboration projects.

According to chairman of the Omniva management board Ansi Arumeel, Läheb benefits from his long-term customer-centred and successful management experience in major international companies both concerning business and technology.

“Today’s logistics are inseparable from technology and Omniva has taken huge steps in developing technology and creating a new logistics information system,” Arumeel said. “New developments occur more often as the result of great collaboration between business and technology, and the skill to understand business needs and execute them using technology becomes progressively more important.”

Lauri Läheb said that he is happy to join Omniva at such a historic time when usage of e-commerce is globally making a major step forward and using logistics services that are simple and convenient for people is becoming increasingly significant in daily lives. “It is exciting to be involved in a major company that develops and makes changes at a speed more characteristic to a start-up, a good indicator of which is the recent cooperation between Omniva and Bolt,” Läheb said.

Lauri Läheb graduated from the Tallinn University of Technology, where he studied telecommunications engineering, he has a master’s degree in business, and has supplemented his knowledge in different international programmes (incl. the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, etc.)
