Deutsche Post DHL Group was recognized as 'Sector Leader Transportation DACH Region' by the independent non-profit organization CDP (previously Carbon Disclosure Project) as part of CDP's renowned annual assessment of environmental performance.

Deutsche Post DHL Group was recognized as 'Sector Leader Transportation DACH Region' by the independent non-profit organization CDP (previously Carbon Disclosure Project) as part of CDP's renowned annual assessment of environmental performance.  With an overall score of 'A-' the Group's environmental management leads the logistics sector in its efforts to continually reduce transport-related emissions and increase resource efficiency.

"With its score of 'A-' in the 2016 Climate Change Report, Deutsche Post DHL Group achieved the status of 'Sector Leader Transportation' in the DACH region. This puts the Group in the top 15 per cent of companies in this industry across Germany, Austria and Switzerland," says Susan Dreyer, DACH Region Director at CDP.

CDP awards Sector Leader status to companies that, in comparison to other companies in their industry, demonstrate a high degree of transparency with regard to climate-change activities and performance, including defining targets, achieving emissions cuts via reduction measures and/or verification of reported data. Sector Leader status is an expression of a company's outstanding performance in terms of strategies initiated and measures implemented to combat and/or adapt to climate change as well as efforts to increase data validity. CDP climate scores are on a scale from A to F.

Additional international CR rating agencies confirm Deutsche Post DHL Group's strong performance in the area of sustainability management

The Group's performance in the area of sustainability management also received very good ratings from independent rating agencies MSCI, RobecoSam (Dow Jones Sustainability Indices), Sustainalytics Research, FTSE4Good and Oekom Research as well as supplier platforms EcoVadis and the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC).

MSCI once again awarded Deutsche Post DHL Group its maximum AAA rating. As in previous years Deutsche Post DHL Group was the only company in its sector to receive this top rating. The RobecoSam assessment had Group performance improving significantly across all dimensions, with the Group's percentile ranking climbing to 93. As a result, Deutsche Post DHL Group was once again listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI World, DJSI Europe). Sustainalytics Research rated Deutsche Post DHL Group "Industry Leader" with its second-place finish among 142 evaluated companies, thus improving the Group's percentile ranking to 99. Deutsche Post DHL Group showed improvement in all individual categories of the FTSE4Good Indices ratings with a result of 4.1 points and renewed listing in the FTSE4Good Indices. The EcoVadis platform for supplier sustainability ratings once again awarded the Group the highest "Gold" standard rating for 2016. The Group also achieved a top ranking in the EICC rankings with a 97 per cent rating. Oekom Research awarded Deutsche Post DHL Group a C+ Prime Standard rating.
