Omniva’s new logistics centre in Tallinn gets a great deal of electricity it needs with the help of solar power panels. A total of 1,667 monocrystalline panels have been installed on the roof of the centre; the panels take up an area the size of 1.5 football fields (10,000 m²). This is one of the largest Estonian solar panel parks installed on the roof of a company for their own use.

Omniva is no stranger to responsible and environmentally friendly approaches – the electricity we use for sorting parcels and mail in the logistics centre comes from a renewable source of energy and has been produced locally. In addition to environmental conservation, using renewable energy is also beneficial financially.

The use of renewable energy is gaining popularity – 16.8% of electricity in Estonia comes from renewable sources of energy and 1% of that has been created by using solar power. There are a little over 1,200 solar power stations connected to the network in Estonia. Installation of Solar Panels to Omniva's New Logistics Center can be viewed here.
