Driven by a doubling of parcel volumes, Correos de Chile’s parcels revenue increased 25% in 2020, offsetting a sharp decline in mail revenue.

Total revenue for the year increased 1%, with parcels accounting for more than half for the first time. E-commerce demand was the key driver for growth, with the post recording a 240% increase in e-retailer clients using its services in 2020. To increase competitiveness and maintain financial sustainability, it cut its workforce by 11% in the year, while doubling automated sorting capacity for parcels.
