After growing by more than a third in 2020, parcels and express services accounted for close to three quarters of group revenue for Royal Mail.

Total parcel volumes grew 30% in the year, while Royal Mail’ tracked services recorded a 79% volume increase. Despite higher staff costs for delivering parcels, as well as higher international transport and COVID-specific costs, the post reported a strong improvement in profitability for the year.
