While parcel volumes and revenue growth slowed for the second consecutive year, total revenue for Russian Post still grew 7% in 2018. Parcel business revenue increased 16%.

Driven by inbound e-commerce, Russian Post’s parcel volumes increased 19% in 2018. It aims to double its parcels revenue to around €1.6bn by 2023. To capture e-commerce growth, the operator is investing in a new nationwide logistics and distribution network and aims to partner with more than 80% of companies in the Russian e-commerce market. Future revenue growth will also be driven by digital initiatives, with the operator aiming to invest €675m in digitisation between 2019 and 2023.
