In 2013, the European and North American e-Commerce market grew by €52bn (17%) and €34bn (12%) respectively, but the most significant growth was recorded in the Asia Pacific region (€79bn or 30%) and the rest of the world (€11bn or 26%). Established economies offer many opportunities, thanks to excellent infrastructure, however these figures also indicate the importance of the emerging markets. The latter ones are benefiting from increased internet access and a retail experience focused online rather than upon traditional bricks and mortar stores.
