The following tables contain group level results

The following tables contain group level results. For details on scope and participating posts, please refer to the footnotes accompanying the tables and charts in the sections below. Emissions data from 2008 to 2023 has been restated and thus may not be comparable to previous years’ Sustainability Reports. (Table subject to PwC limited assurance assignment). Please refer to the annex for details on reporting scope, methodologies, definitions, exclusions and estimations, as well as restatement details.

NB: All emissions figures are rounded to nearest thousand and all percentage figures to two significant figures.
All absolute figures in the table have been restated up to the baseline to include data from Canada Post, Japan Post and Thailand Post, which joined the programme in 2024, and to omit data from Australian Postal Corporation, which left the programme in 2024. Percentage figures include Canada Post, Japan Post and Thailand Post only for 2023 and 2024, while Australian Postal Corporation data has been removed from all percentage figures. This impacts comparability with previous reports.

NB: All delivery efficiency figures are rounded to one decimal place
All figures have been restated to include Canada Post, which joined the SMMS programme in 2024, and to omit Australian Postal Corporation, which has left the programme. Japan Post and Thailand Post are not included in the results as they are still working on developing an emissions allocation process between letter mail and parcel. This impacts comparability with previous reports.

NB: All waste indicator results figures are rounded to one decimal place
Figures omit Australian Postal Corporation from 2023 and 2024. Canada Post, Japan Post, and Thailand Post are not included in the figures as the data reported here does not fall under the two focus areas (‘Climate change’ and ‘Resource efficiency’) that these posts currently report on. This impacts comparability with previous reports.

2024’s results include Canada Post, Japan Post and Thailand Post who joined the SMMS programme in 2024. As well as omitting Australian Postal Corporation from 2024. All previous year’s results are calculated using SMMS participants present in the respective reporting cycle. This may impact comparability with previous reports.
