IPC is looking for an Operation Solutions Manager e-Commerce to join the Operation Solutions department as soon as possible or by June 1st at the latest. This role will be reporting to the Head of Operation Solutions and will support the implementation of IPC’s e-Commerce strategy. Part of the team and reporting to this role are two experts/support roles.
Context
The current Operation Solutions Manager e-Commerce will soon transition to the role of Innovation Manager within IPC, creating an opening for this position. The e-Commerce Solutions Manager will work in close collaboration with the Innovation Manager to align strategies and drive innovative initiatives.
- Contract type: permanent for employee.
- Location: Brussels.
- Need to travel: from time to time, as required for the well-functioning of the role. Most travel will likely be within Europe (same day trips or one to two nights in hotel maximum), but travel may also extend to North America or Asia (for three to four days).
- Job schedule: full time.
Objective
The aim of this role is to contribute to a key strategic area for IPC and its member posts and to bring the expertise and experience to deliver the expected results. The e-Commerce Solutions Manager will need to meet current members & stakeholders user needs and evolving e-Commerce Customers demands, but also to identify new opportunities in close cooperation with the Innovation Manager at IPC.
- Build effective working relationships with customers, members, stakeholder, suppliers and colleagues to effectively run, enhance and expand usage of the services and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage the support roles in your team and ensure consistent reliable provision of the current eCommerce and Customs related services and applications – Return Services, PDDP, COMETS.
- Strive to meet the IPC Strategy driven service expansion KPIs for increased use and participation in the Postal Delivery Duty Paid and IPC Returns solution.
- Manage the delivery of enhancements and refactoring of these solutions.
- Identify opportunities for IPC to support e-commerce through new solutions and or expansion of existing services.
- Manage User Group meetings, enhance service documentation (guides, training material, promotional material) and actively promote usage and user expansion through workshops and other means in close cooperation with the IPC Communications team.
- Promote usage through close cooperation with relevant postal industry groups (EMS Unit, Parcels Unit, PRIME, KPG and Interconnect).
- Work closely with the Innovation manager to identify new solution options meeting the regulatory or market demand of the members and other stakeholders.
- Involve the Business analysts at IPC to support on definition of business requirements, high level solution design, description of business processes and the test plan for solutions delivered by IT or external providers.
- Ensure appropriate support from the IPC IT team for the regular support and maintenance of the current solutions and support during the solution design and architecture of potential new solutions and services.
- Manage training material for e-commerce solutions, organising regular workshops and training sessions.
- Seek funding for the development of new solutions and or enhancement of current solutions through the User Groups and through the IPC Business council.
Profile
Education
- A university degree (bachelor) is a plus.
Experience
- More than 3 years of relevant experience in job roles related to the deployment and management of eCommerce Solutions.
